Erin Go Bragh

Slainte! Amelia would like to wish all of her family and friends a very Happy Saint Patrick's Day.  We celebrated by going to the Philadelphia St Patrick's Day parade last weekend.  This week we made green Rice Krispie treats for Amelia's class and learned about Saint Patrick and Leprechauns.  Amelia told her teacher and classmates, "St Patrick resembles Ho Ho. You know, that means he looks like Santa. He has a long white beard, but he wears green instead of red."  What a smartie pants!

Kiss us we're half Irish!

Parade time...bring it!

Hands down the best part of the parade, meeting the Phanatic.  Amelia got a hug and kiss from him.

We loved the bag pippers.

Amelia loved this bear, a mascot from a local high school. But she asked, "Why does he has a mean face all the time?" Then she added, "He should be happy like the Phanatic!"

The Irish dancers were great and they gave Amelia candy.

Enjoying the day with Dad.

Up Mayo!  Amelia's great-Nanie's family was from County Mayo.

The diva getting her parade on.

What a cute little lassie.

This little Leprechaun looks like she is about to cause some trouble.

Amelia loves to take pictures with Mom's camera. This is one of her shots.  She directed me to make a funny face.

She also picks out all the pictures I put on the blog now.  She insisted this one of Ally's funny face be included.
