Summer Comes To An End But the Fun Continues!

Labor Day may signal the end of Summer but the fun hasn't come to an end for this little girl!  Amelia spent the last two weeks celebrating Dad's birthday, playing with friends and family, golfing, and watching football - just to name a few activities in her busy schedule.

On her way to brunch at her friend Maggie's house - Amelia had to make sure her outfit was fully accessorized.

Our first family mini-golf experience was quite a success.

Mom got a whole in one.

Amelia loved the "bong" that the Liberty Bell made when the ball went in the hole.

Amelia surprised Dad with a chocolate, candy covered cake for his birthday.

Bring it on Iron Chef! Bahhhhhaaaaa!

The final product.  Amelia decorated the entire cake on her own. Then Mom added the bow.  She was very proud of her handy work.

Blowing out the candles with Dad.

He's getting old so he needed some help.

Picnic dinner at the weekly kids concert in Fairmount.

The two fashionistas - Amelia in her Hello Kitty Hat and Dad in his new pink shirt.

Amelia had a pre-birthday lunch with Mimi and Papa.

Today she hosted an Eagle's watching party for her pal Russ and his parents.

She also made what may be her last trip of the year to the sprinklers in Sister Cities Park.

Last week we went to a pot luck dinner at Amelia school.  It was so much fun to have dinner with all of her friends and their parents.  Here is the Grasshopper crew - Cordelia, Amelia, Molly, Elliot and Nikitas.

After the dinner we all headed to see the Budweiser Clydesdales who were in town as part of the Made in America music Festival.

Amelia really liked watching the horses get brushed.

They were quite impressive.
